Rediscovering Unconditional Love: Unlocking the Heart's True Potential
Unconditional love can be felt by all beings – even if they have forgotten how to do that – it is just a matter of time. The preconception that love must be something that people actively do has been forever guiding us, not being aware that what was implied was the expectation of offering respect first and foremost to our authority figures, as required by a survival-based, patriarchal society. Love has always been a concealed requirement, where obedience matters more than true, unconditional love. “Love your parents”, “love your siblings”, “love your partner”, “love thy neighbor” … all this is something you were expected to do. However, love is something you allow to happen spontaneously in your behavior, when you realize that you are love.
The above mentality is the result of love being felt through the ego-driven mind filters, as a precaution against emotional harm and a pre-requisite of control. That’s because the mind “does”, but the Heart “is”. A partner might say to their spouse: “You don’t love me anymore”, only to get the response “Oh, but I do love you!” If both partners would feel love unfiltered, unbiased and undiminished by the filters of the mind, they would feel love in both directions to each other, without the mind-based interpretation of their Heart’s feeling states, which is poor, inadequate and prone to misunderstandings. Instead of understanding, they would grok that they “are” love, instead of doing love. Perhaps a more apt example is when we recognize that we are in love with somebody in a romantic sense. Now, imagine being in love not in a romantic sense, but in an all-encompassing, all-inclusive sense towards all beings without exception, while recognizing that this love is lacking all gender-based perceptions and misconceptions along with their sexual undercurrents and implications. This is not to be confused with making love, which is the rather selfless result of unconditional love and is recognized as a Heart-based option by the partners in the moment, as opposed to having sex, which is ego driven.
This is the evolutionary journey we make, understanding love first with the mind and ultimately with the Heart; not just feeling it, but grokking the awareness layers we sense. Love is not just tied to consciousness; it is how consciousness is perceived by the Heart. After some time following countless incarnations, we recognize that we are love and not just make love. We initially become aware and feel seeds of love, that grow from our Hearts. We experience these seeds growing slowly, during numerous lifetimes. These seeds of love are making their way from our Hearts into our minds first unconsciously, then subconsciously and then consciously, without realizing that these seeds will be the key to unlock our evolution – until we recognize this fact in divine timing. Layers of love can be experienced within families, within a partnership of beings and in more neutral settings. The bonds between the beings in our current existence on Earth are based on different points of view and that is affecting which “mantle” of love we are wearing while expressing love. Focusing on a specific mantle of love is obscuring love’s true nature, because our minds tend to focus on one “thing” only, as opposed to the Heart, which can grok whole concepts at once. All these points of view are now on the verge of evolving and becoming more objective and much less subjective. We are about to “remember” the true meaning of love, that will be henceforth the foundation of our existential experience. Just like most humans are currently focused consciously or subconsciously on survival, soon there will be a time (within a few decades – not a few generations) where unconditional love will define our existence and our whole being will radiate love. This is because our current political and socioeconomic systems are becoming unsustainable, leading us to one emergency after another, requiring urgent adjustment of our situation due to perpetual conflict.
Most of us have experienced love in different ways, different forms and with various intensities. Unless we incarnate in a deeply separated existence, motherless, fatherless or through a traumatic experience and cannot experience love, we can at least “feel” compassion for homeless people or children dying of starvation – even if this love is passing through the filters of the mind and is not truly felt within our Heart. If we truly want to know what love is, if we truly want to love more than we “think” we can, then we can meditate on unconditional love and explore its nature. Love cannot be taught, because it’s not something we make; the term making love is just a figure of speech. Love will spring naturally forth from within us, through our Hearts, originating from the universal sea of consciousness or love (depending on the perspective). This will happen instantly once we recognize it in silence, because it is our true nature.
The capacity to feel unconditional love in its wholeness, unfiltered and undiminished, can be increased exponentially during meditation, when we deliberately silence the mind. It can become so intense that the memory of the feeling state of being in love with your spouse when you first met them will pale in comparison. The more you meditate on love, the more intensely you will be able to feel that love and the more your love towards your spouse is enhanced. In a “magic” and unexpected way, they will be compelled to respond in kind. When we cultivate unconditional love in silence during meditation at first and then allow it to imbue our unburdened mind, not only our fellow humans, but also other ET beings will notice that. Another very important aspect of this state of being is that unconditional love has no recipient in a traditional sense. We love all beings equally and our romantic relationships are just… different, yet the same. In this state of being, the love that we feel is not “targeted” in a traditional sense but felt equally towards all beings in the universe.
Progressively, we will all find our selves in the peculiar position, that our Heart is inclined to feel love for all beings, and it doesn’t matter whether these beings are intelligent or not or even human. This behavior goes against what our survival-based societies have always dictated. That’s just the beginning, because evolution never ends. This state of being is the mere foundation for the new paradigm to which all humans will be attracted to. We will find this behavior fulfilling and be compelled to live this way, as if this way of life is the only one that makes total sense. And it is indeed the only one that makes sense for a humanity that’s weary of separation and perpetual conflict.
Most humans cannot imagine this perspective yet. It is understandably not presenting itself to humans who have a mind that’s still conditioned and are still operating from a survival-based foundation. However, in time they too will recognize this perspective, since evolution is naturally pushing us to experience this reality. From a mere few, many people will progressively change their lifestyle and adopt unconditional love based on the principle of the hundredth monkey through our collective subconscious.
